Defensive tackle Pat O’Connor - will we have him back for the Championship game maybe if we get there?

It would be interesting to throw out the stats for the first ~10 games when the Lions defense was healthier. For example, are they still near the best 3rd down defense over those games?

Jeez...looks like a Redskin victory all the way. Daniels will run wild (88 yards and a TD), McLaurin will catch 11 balls for 188 yards and two TDs, the Lions run game will bog down, Amik will be run over, the 'Skins convert over 45% of third downs...it'll be a mercy killing.

How great these Redskins are looking and for sure the NFL wants a rookie QB in the Super Bowl...not the stodgy old never-do-nothing Lions. I see at least two penalties for roughing Daniels as he gets downfield. And a few pass interference penalties to boot.

Wake up, wake up...what a nightmare that was. Whew!

Pumped! Glad we got the Saturday game, one less day to wait! If the Lions run the ball the way we know they can they will win and cover the spread. Wear down their D and pull away in the 4th. Go Lions!

I'm interested to see how Daniels handles a blitz with man coverage in the back.

As I typed that, I pictured Daniels running free with all Those defensive backs having their heads turned away from him.

Maybe that won't be the best strategy.

Thanks, as you pointed out above, Lions are FIRST at stopping teams on 3rd down, and Washington is middle of the pack at 15th. BUT BUT - check it out, they have the biggest Home - Road split of anyone: They are first at home allowing only a 26.85% 3rd down conversion rate, but on the road they are SECOND LAST allowing 50.51% conversion. Advantage LIONS!
