It’s been a little more than eight years since I last had a podcast. That drought has come to an end today. I'm back in the game with a new media partner and a couple of all-star co-hosts.
I interned for Stoney and Wojo right in 2001. Got to ask Marty a question and immediately was embarrassed. They were playing Mike McMahon a couple series a game randomly. But they were the Lions and not very good so I asked “Are you scared to play Mike with a lead?” He did not care for my phrasing and replied “I’m not scared of anything!” I did not edit that for use by the news guys. Eventually I got him back because I was editing other people’s quotes from him and he mispronounced something so horribly that it ended up becoming a drop on the show and was in the drop tournament. I cannot remember the word for the life of me.
It's because I was using the same setup I use to record interviews, which focuses on the interviewee and not the interviewer. I didn't have a professional solution presented to me and I'm working this week to figure out something better.

Just finished episode 1! Fantastic with room to grow. Did anyone else notice the backhanded comment from Rick Stroud about Carlton Davis? Salty, indeed.
Sadly, intro is going to be buried. We learned we have no rights to use Miller/Campbell clips. Looking forward to seeing what the studio comes up with in the lab.

Justin - I suggest Ty Schalter for the podcast. I always liked his coverage, but not sure at all of availability or status.
Really enjoyable. I wonder why the sound degraded so badly during the interview. I trust that's one of those early stage nits that get worked out.

Will this appear on YouTube eventually like your Skipper coldtub interview?
I don't know how 97.1 will choose to present it. I think we're in a little bit of a prove-it window right now. Trust me, we're going to prove it.
Is this available via iPhone podcast app?

Subscribed today! Your interview with Rick Stroud also convinced me to get the book about Tom Moore. GO LIONS!
Loved this…great job!!👍👍😎
Justin, do you ever sleep? Lol! And the podcast was well done!
Yes, but yesterday was rough. Ended up being around a 16-hour day. Going to need to iron those wrinkles out in a hurry.
great first episode. chemistry out the gate. also love the idea of will and mike having their specific episodes. feedback is simple: nailed it!

The intro to episode 1 got me fired up but I’m gonna have to listen tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing it, thanks Justin!

Bummer. I’m sure they’ll come up with some great non licensed content…
