I love for the Lions that the training camp battles are for backups. So glad to see the days where practically the entire roster was up for grabs are gone. I'm intrigued by the DL depth, specifically Levi.

I've been saying it all offseason, it's surreal the depth Holmes has built. There are a couple starting spots on defense up for grabs, but the completeness of this roster is unbelievable and unlike anything I've seen in my 12 years covering the team.
Holmes may turn out to be the best GM in Detroit history. Not just Lions but of all four teams in Detroit. We'll see how he handles the next decade before installing him as our local deity. But what a start!
It's the depth that creates competition that keeps everyone on their toes. It's like every great place I've worked. If you have a great management team that can create a positive environment amazing things can and do happen!
