So, many great plays/efforts overshadowed by falling behind. They never gave up. Almost had a shot at the end. Bills bounced back to beat Detroit after giving up 40 points last week. Lions can bounce back, too. Chicago at Solider Field will be a tough opponent, knowing the history between these teams, but definitely a winnable game.

For as bad as the D played for much of the game, and throw in the running game being shut down, it still came down to an onside kick that was nearly recovered and a possible pass or two for a TD in the last few seconds. All they can do is regroup and let this game slide into the history books.

When was the last time we mentioned Kerby's name. That guy has been AWOL lately.

Justin I would like someone to ask the league AND the Lions coaches about the inexcusable clock management by the officials. Jared Goff 3 yard run 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. He ran out of bounds going forward and the officials did not stop the game clock and allowed more than 30 seconds to roll off before Detroit ran the next play.

Clock doesn’t stop for out of bounds plays until 5 min are left in each half.

Wait. What?

I just searched the 2024 rules and don’t see that. What section?

Oh wow there it is

Section 3, article 2,

Subsection a

Huh. Ok thank you 🙏🏻

Now what’s interesting about that section is that it’s the rules for RESTARTING the clock… section 4 says the game clock will stop when a player advancing the ball runs out of bounds.

Section 3 then says it will restart once the ball is placed except in the instances of less then two minutes in the first half or less than five in the fourth.

This clock never stopped.

Josh Allen clearly made his case for MVP. Also, why did Detroit struggle running the ball? Granted, they were forced to throw more being behind, but when they tried running it wasn’t there. Buffalo has an awful run defense.

Moseley won’t be inactive next week

The good news is that we can most likely survive next week even without the defense getting that much healthier. Probably the week after too, given that the Niners looked like they’ve checked out.

But after that, we need to have a solution figured out. #1 seed probably the line against MN, and then obviously opponents keep getting better, with every game as must-win.

The dam was bound to break on the defense at some point given the injuries. Now it’s just time to for AG to find out which of the new additions passed their trials by fire.

I'm not worried. The goals are still in site. 15-2. 1 seed. Superbowl.

I believe this is the first game this year we did not rush the ball for over 100 yards. Without that we could not control the clock.

Hard to think the defense can bounce back next week. I have never seen this much carnage on one team.

the first onside kick....was so bad. All it did was take a dump on AG, and the entire Defense. YOU DO NOT DO THAT with 12 mins left. Then with 8 minutes left he doesnt do it. and even 8 minutes was too early...but 12 was just stoooooooopid. I couldnt believe my eyes. It was SOOOOO bad you cant even call that SoL....even the Old Lions would not have done something so dumb.

I went straight to the locker room, but I imagine defensive fatigue weighed into that decision. They'd had a lot of long drives in a row and the offense scored in two minutes. I don't think the decision was as bad as it might look on paper when fatigue is weighed as a critical factor.

That is correct on the rushing yards.
