The Detroit Lions dominated the opening half against the Chicago Bears during Thursday’s Thanksgiving Classic at Ford Field, but failed to capitalize on multiple opportunities, leaving the door open for a comeback.
On one of the second half drives we ran it down their throat, then passed 3 straight plays. The offense really failed us in the 4th quarter. I know we're not going to score every possession, but we need to be better finishing games. I had NFC Championship vibes at the end of this game. 😳
Hey Justin, we'll certainly take the win, as we have experienced our share going the other way (I vividly recall watching the Dave Williams1980 overtime KO return for TD) - but this refereeing crew...? National TV replay from behind Caleb on the very nice TD throw provided an excellent view of (just one of) Larry Borom's affectionate "Bear" hugs upon the rushing D-end. Is holding simply going out of style? Appreciate your excellent insight, always!
The Bears for the most part played like a 4-7 team and the Lions still took advantage despite many miscues on their side. A W is a W when it's all said and done.
Bears looked like pre-Campbell Lions and spared Jamo from being the goat (not in a good way) for his immature 15 yard penalty while being well out of bounds.
I was impressed by the Bears defense. After the Lions dominated the 1st half time of possession. I thought Chicago’s defense would be gassed but they held up. I really thought our rushing attack would close out the game. Crazy game. Rookie QB, coaching errors and penalties determined the game.
I'm not sure I can watch Green Bay against our obliterated defense. Half our defensive starters are practice squad guys. No way we'll stand up to GB. We made Caleb look like the league MVP out there in the 2nd half with no pass rush, one starting linebacker and a third-string cornerback. If our offense can't put up 50 we're screwed.

Justin, any impression on the late coverage help of the Kerby. It seemed he got lost or was late on over the top coverage
Justin, thank you for your continued excellent coverage on our Lions! Now, go celebrate Thanksgiving with your family! You earned some family time!
Can only withstand so many injuries. This is getting ridiculous.

If I recall that cost us a drive. I know he apologized... but dude. Can't do that.

Well, let’s put up 50 then and not cry about injuries
That would be ideal.
Geez, we play next Thursday too? Really hoped we were entering the mini-bye, 10 days between games. We’re desperate for it. So many injuries.
We get that after Greenbay next week, so it's just delayed 🫤
Obviously, but we need it now.
Another putrid second half by Johnson. Not sure what happened but that was unacceptable from the entire offense
