That Jamyr 2nd half stat is key. A lot more #28 would have given us a better chance, no? Doubt he would have fumbled 5 times…..

For all his accolades, Ben Johnson calling the triple-reverse Jamo throw at that point in the game was just a total joke and hubris defined.

Agreed that was a poor time to use that play. With the game in doubt you do not have a non QB passing.

I'd feel a little better if they'd played a great game. One can speculate about reasons and blame, but having five or six coaches interviewing for new jobs definitely DID NOT make us a more focused and cohesive team during the past couple of weeks.

Back to the molded bread.

100%.

NFL needs to re-evaluate this.

The 12 men on the field penalty giving the Commanders a first down and ensuring their near back breaking TD was pretty brutal. No one could call a time out there?

Great season but going out at home as the number one seed in a game like that isn’t going to make for a fun offseason. This after blowing a big halftime lead in the nfc championship game last year.

This won’t shake that “same old Lions”

Feeling.

This was THE team we could believe in. Then they delivered this performance. I'll never believe in another Lions team ever again. Lions are sentenced to eternal purgatory.

If you feel that way. I suggest pick a new team to be a fan of.

I am sticking with the Lions.

I'll always be a fan, I'm just saying after this year I will never believe in them like I did this year. You don't have to like it.

Never said I did not like it to each his own.

Possibly I misunderstood what you were saying.

For me though if I said ; ((" I'll never believe in another Lions team ever again.")).

I would not enjoy watching them .

How did you feel the year they went 0-16 ?

It was not much fun for me but I still watched every game and rooted for them. And looked forward to improvement in the future. Knowing they were my team and would always be .

Nothing left to say. I hope everyone has a good summer and for us Lions fans it's just more of the same. Congrats to the Commanders.

Thanks to Justin for a great season. While I'm not looking forward to the Lion's season being over, I am looking to whatever content Justin has in store for us.

The Jamo pass trick play sums up this game for me. Totally unnecessary risk that only served to show off and "have fun". Wrong players in the wrong position doing the wrong thing.

disqualifying moment for the great Ben Johnson

Soul crushing, injuries were too much to overcome. Commanders played a perfect game

I disagree about the Commanders. They played the game they've perfected all season long. It wasn't as if everything went their way. But they knew their strengths and held to them.

Turnovers x 4, and a defense that finally could not make up for all the missing pieces. This is a bitter loss, but the future still looks bright. The Commanders' future looks pretty bright as well; I think we'll see them again.

That sums it up for me. Two more DBs went down tonight, and Branch missed some snaps, too. Holmes patched it up as well as he could on the fly, and actually added guys who could help going forward -- Za'Darius Smith for one, and I'd like to see Al-Quadin Muhammad re-signed. The fun will be back in September.

Yes the offense had 5 turnovers but this Aaron Glenn coached defense has had SO many of these games where they give up more TDs then stops they get.

One of the turnovers was painful the rest were in Commanders territory.

All the second half Brady was saying that Glenn should change it up and play some zone and maybe not blitz so much yet all he did was blitz and get burned even down to the end of the game.

Most teams can win scoring 28 points or more- it’s clear when you watch these games there is no faith in the D.

Best thing for the Lions is Aaron Glenn getting a head coaching job.

You think Steve Spagnola or any elite d coordinator consistently lets this happen?

How about Shula on the Rams? They have the lower budget D in the NFL and the Rams D won them their last 4 games or more.

People are for some reason unwilling to question this D’s leadership.

Carlton Davis has been out for a while, Amik Robertson and Ifeatu Melifonwu got hurt in this game, Branch wasn't out there at some points. Glenn had a guy who was elevated from the practice squad yesterday and a guy who has been waived more than once this season trying to cover real NFL receivers. His best edge rusher and his best interior lineman are out long-term. Aaron Glenn is not the problem. Absolutely, I think Spagnola can't win with a defense you could make the playoffs with on injured reserve.

Season ends in a whimper. Bummer, man

These games generally come down to turnovers, and tonight was no different. What a great year the Lions had, even with sooo many injuries. GO LIONS!!!

Pulled no punches Justin, granted each punch was earned and deserved.
