I respect that opinion yet will simply agree to disagree. He as a Lion could be said prior to last year that his problems with the offense were not a talent issue. It is a testimony to the coaches that helped him become who he is today as for a while he was simply bruised fruit recently discarded and disrespected by the Rams. My observation was it affected him.
I guess my argument is that it doesn't matter what the fans think to Goff. They could clamoring all they want for a backup. It's because our coaching staff is so strong and open and honest that it won't matter if the fans turn on him. This coaching staff believes in Goff and have truly empowered him to be the best QB he can be. That can't be said about his last team.
I don't think that's a factor at all. Goff seems very mentally strong. This coaching staff is honest and up front so he knows where he stands.
