The man of the hour wasn’t even in the building Wednesday. The Lions gave defensive end Za'Darius Smith a couple days off to catch his breath after Tuesday's trade.
Interesting that Branch also expressed his thoughts that the Lions were being singled out by the NFL for their borderline rough play. I think he's right.
I’ll watch the video Mackenzie mentioned, but those quotes were cringe-worthy. “I’ve been suspended before..”, “nothing to brag about..”? No kidding, Jamo.
Everyone’s upbringing is different, and I can’t even imagine what dumb shit I would have done at 23 with that money and spotlight, but you gotta learn from your mistakes and show some accountability. Different circumstances of course, but it’s hard not to look at how Brach (who is the same age) handled himself compared to Jamo.
The kid has had to handle a ton of adversity, and I think his intentions are good, but it’s starting to become obvious that he’s going to need a lot of guidance and support around for him to reach his full potential, and these quotes make me wonder whether he’ll be willing to accept it.
If you haven't, try watching the video, you might hear/see it a bit differently, or not.
I think he's learning, that he cares, but that he also knows/hears/reads that he has a lot of people who have never met him in person have very strong negative opinions of him as a person. Which is probably hard.
I hadn’t, but now have. Still feel the same way, unfortunately. It’s just two games? It’s really tone deaf to me. I hope it works out for the kid both as a fan of the team (and player) and on a human level. But I just don’t see this going well absent a sea change in his thinking and maturity. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Justin-With Goff on an amazing multi-game heater, do you have any idea why PFF only rates him as the 23rd best QB in the NFL?
What's PFF?

Horrible, tone deaf quotes from Jamo. Hopefully one day he wakes up because he’s going to waste his career.

"Most teams aren’t going to give them up, they don’t care what you say, which is smart.” 😆
And then there's Cleveland...
