I expect there will be one or two under the radar guys that make the team. After the last 3 years, we have to assume these guys know exactly what they are doing and how they want to do it. They seem to be able to adjust to what reality presents yet stay the course. Refreshing after watching this organization stumble in the dark for the last 60 or more years.

Justin, of the Lion’s coaches you have interviewed currently and in the past, who was the best and who was the most difficult to interact with?

Campbell is clearly the best, consistently. In terms of worst, there have been many position coaches who weren't interested in the media aspect of their profession and were difficult, dry and non-informative. Former defensive line coach Bo Davis is one example, and he just stands out because he once did an group session where he was so disinterested he ate his lunch during the entire conversation.

Other coaches I've particularly enjoyed working with include Gunther Cunningham, Teryl Austin, Al Golden and Kelvin Sheppard, but there are likely at least a dozen others that could make that list.

Wow. This is the best article I’ve read on DFN. I can get practice coverage any and everywhere. Insight on Campbell, Martin and Branch was great. Thanks.

Great article Justin. I just appreciate Dan’s personality and his answers to the reporters questions. He puts a lot of thought into his answers and he is not a jerk about the questions. He is easy to listen to.
