The Lions are loading up on reinforcements for Week 1, while Campbell discusses wide receiver contenders, importance of special teams and the backup QB situation ahead of Tuesday's roster cutdown.
LIons keeping a big bodied blocking TE may be more telling on how this offense will evolve with a WR room that has a few legit questions. I see St Brown as a top 5 in the League wr because of what he can do for the run game. I call the offense , and the philosophy of this team TheBigMotown for a reason. This team has the potential to run a 5 wide offense with the same players used inside the goal line.
Maybe, but does he also get credit for St. Brown going from fourth-round to all-pro, Raymond from going to little used journeyman to a 40-catch guy, or Reynolds improved consistency and red zone and downfield developments?
1. Where does Fipp rank among ST coordinators? It seems like Johnson and Glenn have gotten a lot of interest from other teams. I know that doesn't really happen with ST coordinators, so I'm just curious if there's a way to gauge how well-regarded Fipp is around the league.
2. I'd be interested in knowing Holmes'/Agnew's mindset regarding building out the PS. Are they interested in building out depth at core positions as much as they are in stashing developmental prospects, do they prioritize hidden gems, etc. How much scouting of other teams' rosters takes place during preseason? Or are they using old tape to gauge talent when it comes to adding to the bottom of the roster and building out the PS?
Just want to compliment you on the questions you ask at the pressers. They are usually the best ones that others write their stories on. It hits exactly what folks want to know or finds interesting.
Great news! Having everyone come back, that we expected to come back, from injuries is really nice to hear. I personally cannot wait to see Reader and McNeil play next to each other.

Tim Patrick (Denver) will apparently be traded. Can't be more than a 6th or 7th and maybe worth a shot.
Does any of the WR developmental struggles fall on Randle-El?

Sounds like Houston still has upside to them.
Some questions this got me thinking about.
