You should try to get him over to Hamtramck Stadium some time. His grandfather had to have played there back in the day.

Agree with DJ about the value of teachers. They are truly everyday heroes. And they put up with enormous amounts of grief - mostly from parents- to get the job done. Thanks for shining the spotlight on him and his family today. Great stuff, once again. Loving the balance between reporting, analysis and people at your DFN, Justin.

These are the kind of stories that separate you from a “beat writer”. Keep ‘em coming and go even deeper when your subject agrees to let you in. You may also want to make posts like these the ones you let readers access for free. “Pressers and Scrums” don’t give you the opportunity to show that you are special.

Great story. Great job Justin. I always watched your TV broadcasts at the end of the game. You ended them by throwing your rolled up notes on the camera. Wojo was with you and both of you had funny banter. Happy memories
