Maybe a little bit of a steep price for Teslaa but Holmes has the best track record of any GM Detroit has ever had and our roster shows it. We are at a time where quality out weighs quantity in the draft. Can’t wait to see what these guys do.
They do actually try to figure out where a player may go as a part of the strategy. Am not sure if he would make it out of the round. After the second round, lists of players are all over the place.
Holmes did the same thing with Teslaa that he did with Manu and Brodrick Martin. I hope it works out, but I question whether Teslaa would have been taken before 102 or even 130.
It’s not silly. Holmes has been “guilty” of overreaching for injured guys, “developmental” guys and Senior Bowl standouts before. Onzwurike has (somewhat) panned out… Manu’s still on pause and Martin is a straight on BUST/bad pick. Just used the #28 pick for what Martin should already be.
It’s OK. Everyone’s darling Howie Roseman drafted Jalen Reagor ahead of Jefferson!
Holmes is not being discussed at the Conclave to replace Francis.
But he damn sure needs to replace Davenport/Paschal/Zadarius and it ain’t gonna get done today in Green Bay!
Reaching for players to fill needs in the draft is always a bad idea. Watch as he trades for Thibidoux or someone else shadow tanking for next years QBs.
It's a fools errand to assume where players would have been taken. They have an entire staff dedicated to this kind of stuff. He also did the "same thing" for Barnes and Kerb if that makes you feel better.
Brad was sooo annoyed with you guys about Edgerushers haha
The real player assessment happens when regular games begin.
Looks like they want to keep Mahagony on the right side and move Tate over.
don't ya think it's too soon to say Blue, I mean dirtbag did well on the left side when he replaced GG for most of a game as I recall
If Teslaa is this year's Puka I am excited.

That's a silly comparison. Teslaa certainly is not a project.
