Justin, this is a GREAT game day piece! I really like the format you came up with, and hope you continue with it. Two thoughts going forward. Maybe make one of the “things to watch for” be about the opponent? And you probably considered this already, but maybe flag the “paid” articles in the list of this week’s articles for non- or free-subscribers to see what they are missing? Seeing the list makes me realize why I’m not looking to other sources a fraction as much as I used to … you’re providing us a lot!

Really curious how the Rams DL looks without Aaron Donald. They are pretty small. I think the Lions with test that early and often with the run game.

The Rams also just traded away their defensive captain. So I think that is going to take time to figure out for them.

So expect them to run early and then start going with play action and shots over the top. Happy game day everyone!

Yes. Interesting dynamics trading away the run dropping middle backer. Our running game should benefit from smaller D tackle they drafted though I heard he is very active. I liked him for us. And new corners for them. Let’s see how that works out

Last year the Lions converted 83% of their 4th and short opportunities. They better not settle for a FG on 4th and 2.

I have to admit it but Bates makes me nervous. Couldn’t agree with you more Justin on Jamo. Just produce as a 1st round pick should and all the questions go away. Was watching the playoff game against the Rams last night (from last year) and Puca owned the secondary so that is my biggest item I am watching for tonight is the revamped secondary with a rookie starting. Go Lions!!

I think they are developing Bates. I never knew kickers needed time to develop but they just need to feel that occasionally they can miss a field goal.
