That said, now that the Lions have locked up basically all their key players for at least the next two years, I’d be curious to see what their projected cap numbers are for the next couple years. Seems like they’re going to have a whole lot of flexibility, at least in 2025, unless they’ve used up all their 2025 cap space.
I think you know who i am. I RAILED for Bijan for months pre draft At the Det News. I was told by alot of people i was crazy....NO WAY do you take a RB with a high Draft pick....blah blah blah. Well, they took Jahmyr with their 10th pick and no one is complaining about it now. Incuding me....BUT what im trying to say is...I am a Hog guy....always have been....and I have NEVER devalued the RB position. If you can Run and stop the run , your odds of winning go WAYYYYY up... Monty was going to cost way more if they would have waited till the end of next year to sign him. IMHO.
The timing tells me they needed the haze cleared on what type of edge contract they can absorb. Going further with conjecture 😂 I bet Alim understood that and finalized ASAP so the org has the time needed to bring in a body.
Interesting thought, and definitely may have played into it, along with Alim being reminded that a major injury could happen at any moment, so better get paid while you can just in case.

Adams is....well not what he used to be. Maxx is Maximum. He would cost a fortune.
