Allen Park — In his opening statement addressing the retirement of All-Pro center Frank Ragnow on Thursday, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell acknowledged that the "train rolls on" and it's "next man up."

But the first name out of Campbell's mouth after that comment wasn't veteran Graham Glasgow or second-round draft pick Tate Ratledge, the two presumptive front-runners to fill Ragnow's role in the starting lineup. Instead, it was an undrafted rookie from a year ago who spent his first season developing in the background on Detroit's practice squad.

"We like our free agents that we brought in, the young guys — Kingsley (Eguakun) being one of those guys, among others," Campbell said.
